GRC APPROVED 'A1', 'A2', 'A3', 'B' & 'C' LIST OF JUDGES
(Expires: 1st May 2002)

'A1' List
Breed Specialists and All Rounders. All persons whom the Golden Retriever Club support to award Kennel Club Challenge Certificates (CCs) to the Breed; they are to have been approved by the Kennel Club and to have satisfactorily completed their first appointment.
'A2' List
Breed Specialists and All Rounders. All persons who fulfil the requirements of the A3 List; they are to have been assessed in accordance with the Kennel Club's requirements, accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on this list and have the support of the Golden Retriever Club.
'A3' List
Breed Specialists
a. To have a minimum of 7 years judging experience in the Breed and the support of the Committee.
b. To have judged at least one Breed Club Open Show or a GRC Supported Show.
c. To have judged Breed classes at a minimum of 15 Open Shows, or Championship Shows without CCs, over a wide geographical area.
d. To have judged a minimum of 100 Breed classes.
e. To have judged a minimum of 500 dogs in Breed classes.
f. Save in exceptional circumstances to have bred or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they gained their first entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book.
g. To have stewarded for a minimum of 3 years at 12 Championship or Open Shows.
h. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club accredited trainer, and passed the relevant examination, on the Kennel Club's regulations and judging procedures.
i. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club accredited trainer on conformation and movement.
j. To have attended at least one Breed specific seminar run in accordance with the Kennel Club's Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and / or assessment.

All Rounders. Applications from All Rounders will be considered on an individual basis; however, they must meet the following minimum requirements of the Kennel Club:
a. To have a minimum of 7 years judging experience, of which at least 5 must be in the Breed, and have the support of the Golden Retriever Club.
b. To have awarded CCs in at least one other breed.
c. To have stewarded for a minimum period of 3 years at 12 Championship or Open Shows.
d. To have judged 250 dogs in the Breed.
e. To have attended at least one Golden Retriever specific judging seminar run in accordance with the Kennel Club's Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and / or assessment.

'B' List
Breed Specialists
a. To have a minimum of 7 years experience of owning and exhibiting Golden Retrievers and have the support of the Committee.
b. To have judged the Breed on at least 7 occassions over a minimum period of 5 years - preferably over a wide geographical area.
c. To have judged a minimum of 50 Breed classes at Open Shows, or Championship Shows without CCs.
d. To have judged a minimum of 250 dogs in the Breed in Breed classes.
e. To have attended at least one Breed specific seminar run in accordance with the Kennel Club's Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and / or assessment.

All Rounders.
a. To have a minimum of 7 years judging experience in any one breed and have the support of the Committee.
b. To have judged a minimum of 25 Golden Retriever classes.
c. To have judged a minimum of 100 Golden Retrievers in Breed classes.
d. Judges who have been approved by the Kennel Club to judge the Gundog Group and have the support of the Committee.
'C' List
Breed Specialists For aspirant judges who have been in the Breed for 5 years and have the support of the Committee.
All Rounders. For judges with a minimum of 3 years judging experience in other breeds, have shown an interest in the Breed, and have the support of the Committee.
